Tested in the Nordics is a new digital platform designed to showcase the Nordic region a global destination for testing, innovation, and sustainable growth. Developed and run by Nordic Edge, the platform brings together relevant test-facilities from across the Nordics and acts as a one-stop shop for businesses, researchers, and the public sector seeking real-world environments to test and scale new solutions.
The Nordics have built a strong international reputation for trust, sustainability, and leadership in the green transition. Nordic Edge, with over a decade of experience bridging public and private sectors, academia and international networks, is now leveraging that position to accelerate innovation through testing.
The platform will serve as a digital showroom and marketplace that showcases available test environments across sectors—whether in mobility, health, energy, construction, education, digital services or more. It will help innovators find test facilities, connect with domain experts, access validation tools and research infrastructure, and gain guidance on compliance, business modeling, and scaling strategies.
Testing has been identified as a key enabler of innovation, allowing businesses to move faster from idea to implementation by gaining critical real-world feedback. Yet, many companies aren’t aware of the facilities that exist or how to access them. At the same time, many test arenas have unused capacity and are looking to attract new partners. Tested in the Nordics aims to close this gap.
As part of this next phase, Nordic Edge takes on an editorial and strategic role—curating test arenas, promoting open innovation, and sharing insights and results that emerge from test projects. This will help spread knowledge, unlock new applications, and strengthen the overall innovation ecosystem across the Nordic region.
