The research institute NORCE, Nordic Edge and the smart city department in Stavanger municipality have joined forces to research local everyday innovators in the Stavanger region.
Throughout the project period, 15 innovative residents have been interviewed. They have shared about the driving forces, needs and barriers they encounter in their development work. The research findings show which factors can increase the chances that citizen innovations can lead to commercialisation, and thus contribute to more innovation in society. The findings provide a basis for how we will work further in the project.
A digital guide has been made (in Norwegian) to help people who have an idea and are thinking of developing this further. What should you question and test in this process and which organisations, here in the region, who can assist you on your journey.
- Strengthen innovation in private households, the private sector and public sector.
- Develop a methodology for connecting DIY inventors with private companies to drive business development and solve challenges for municipalities.
