The research institute NORCE, Nordic Edge and the smart city department in Stavanger municipality have joined forces to research local everyday innovators in the Stavanger region.
Throughout the project period, 15 innovative residents have been interviewed. They have shared about the driving forces, needs and barriers they encounter in their development work. The research findings show which factors can increase the chances that citizen innovations can lead to commercialisation, and thus contribute to more innovation in society. The findings provide a basis for how we will work further in the project.
Project aims:
- Strengthen innovation in private households, the private sector and public sector.
- Develop a methodology for connecting DIY inventors with private companies to drive business development and solve challenges for municipalities.
