After five years, 10 editions and hundreds of matches, Nordic Fund Day marked its milestone edition in Oslo—still focused on driving results. Fund Day isn't just another startup event; it’s a Nordic launchpad where purpose-driven founders meet investors who care about returns and real-world impact.

– We developed Nordic Fund Day with a clear purpose in mind, and it has over the years become a go-to arena for investors who look beyond profit and toward real change. It’s about connecting people who share a vision for a sustainable future, says Trygve A. Meyer, Cluster Leader, Nordic Edge Smart City Cluster

Matchmaking Real Results.

The goal of Nordic Fund Day has lalways been to bring together a curated mix of investors, founders, and ecosystem players who share one goal: turning great ideas into lasting impact.

– It’s about impact through collaboration, says Torill Hoel, business developer Nordic Edge. We don’t just want to create another start-up event; we want to build the future ecosystem for sustainable growth.

And the message from Torill is clear: The best is yet to come. With growing international interest, stronger investor networks, and a wave of new Nordic innovations, the event continues to shape the future of sustainable business one match at a time.

– The momentum we’re seeing now is proof that when the right people come together, real change happens. We will continue that when Nordic Fund Day make its big return at Nordic Edge Expo May 5 in 2025, here we will further develop this event, making it even more relevant for our investors and start-ups, says Hoel

Why visit Norways capital?

This year’s Oslo edition put a spotlight on urban and food systems; two of the most pressing global challenges of our time.

By 2050, 75% of the world’s population will live in cities, making them the frontlines for climate solutions. At the same time, feeding a growing population sustainably demands innovations in agrifoodtech that reduce waste, strengthen supply chains, and protect our planet’s resources.

 – Cities and food systems are deeply connected, Says Gunnar Crawford, leader of Nordic Edge Agritech Cluster.

How we live, eat, and move defines the sustainability of our future. That’s why we’re focusing on these sectors… Because they represent both the biggest challenges and the biggest opportunities, says Crawford

A continuing success story

This year’s line-up brought together 11 exceptional Nordic start-ups, each addressing sustainability from a unique angle, from food production and mobility to circular building and citizen services.

The selected companies:

  • Alva
  • Avisimo
  • Bikekey
  • Birdsview
  • Fikse
  • Innomost
  • Mase Home
  • Misto Tech
  • Renotch
  • Tequs
  • Winterleap

Each company was carefully chosen by a jury of leading investors, ensuring a curated selection of ventures ready for scale and investment.

– It was a pleasure to join Nordic Fund Day, and to review the companies and give our quick verdict on stage. I was really impressed with the event and the quality of companies. Our discussions will continue with multiple, says jury member Matti Rönkkö, Managing Director Kiilto Ventures

One of those companies on stage was MASE Home. They really saw value from attending.

– Nordic Fund Day was a great event for me as a startup founder - focused and energizing. We left with concrete investor leads, and a sharper pitch messaging. Access to arenas like this is super valuable—it accelerates trust, learning, and funding. Nordic Edge was an excellent facilitator before, during, and after with pitch prep sessions, quality matchmaking on the day with investors, and proactive follow-up. Says Susanne Sekkesæter, Co-founder MASE Home.

Did you know; MASE Home has developed the world’s first plug-and-play robotic ceiling bed? Doubling apartment functionality with no building modifications.
