Nordic Edge Expo

Workshop: How can Nordic Companies Solve NYC Intelligent Lighting Challenges?

Cities worldwide are increasingly realizing that urban lighting can provide solutions to overcome major challenges facing our societies such as environmental footprint, lacking digital infrastructures, increased costs and public well-being and safety. Many questions remain open for Cities that seek to develop forward-thinking lighting strategies, as they look for solutions to create the best Cities. The arrival of new technologies to the market, as well as the smart potentials lighting can now offer, triggers new questions to which Cities need solid and reliable answers, and well-tested solutions.

The convergence of energy saving, responsive technologies, ownership of data and infrastructure is being debated across NYC together with issues of public space equity and social cohesion. The local challenges in smart lighting in NYC create new market opportunities for foreign SMEs in the shadow of COVID-19 and during this session, three speakers will take a deep-dive into how SMEs can enter a new market by pursuing local challenges.

Join us for an exciting session and gain insight about the commercial potential of smart lighting solutions in NYC, how to access the market and an introduction to how local challenges can accelerate your market entry.
