Urban-Air Port: Providing Innovative Infrastructure for Future Sustainable Zero-Emission Air Mobility

Urban-Air Port Ltd is a UK based start-up committed to designing, developing and manufacturing innovative ground infrastructure for future Urban Air Mobility (UAM). Their mission is to remove the largest single constraint to sustainable air mobility, i.e. the lack of infrastructure, and to significantly cut congestion and air pollution from passenger and cargo transport.  Their design is an ultra-compact, multi-functional operations hub for manned and unmanned vehicles providing aircraft command & control, charging & refueling and cargo and passenger loading. Our design is intended to integrate this exciting new form of transport into our smart cities of the future and combine with our existing transport and logistics infrastructure as part of a consolidated city-wide multi-modal network.

Ricky founded Urban-Air Port Ltd after a distinguished 20 year career in architecture, including 16 years as equity Partner with award-winning architecture & design practice Foster + Partners.  Ricky sets out the vision, supports his management team, works closely with UAP’s major corporate, governmental and technology partners, and liaises with investors.

Ricky holds a BA (Hons) from Nottingham University, an award winning Diploma of Architecture (Dip Arch) and a Master of Architecture with Distinction (MArch) from the Bartlett School of Architecture at University College London, during which he also spent a semester at the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc).
