The sharing of smart city initiatives and innovative technologies between the Nordics and China garnered interest on both continents. Overall a total of 33.420 participants followed the two-day international conference on May 26 & 27.
Nordic Edge China 2021 was a hybrid event with physical participation in the cities of YanTai and Daxing District of Beijing. The conference programme was streamed live to Nordic attendees. Initial reports of viewership showed more than 30.000 participants followed the conference programme on 26 May. As well as 168 in physical attendance at the venues in Beijing and YanTai.
The four parallel sessions on 27 May had an overall attendance of more than 3000 people. There was a 50/50 share of people following the English subtitled channel and the Chinese translation of the programme.
Media Interest
It’s not only smart city officials, technology providers and academia that are keen to learn about smart and sustainable cities on the respective continents.
