The University of Stavanger is hosting a full-day, joint international research symposium at Nordic Edge Expo. The evenings of 20-22 September will be filled with Science&Cocktails.
We greatly look forward to welcome the Smart City Research Symposium to Nordic Edge Expo 2021. The event will take place at Hotel Victoria in downtown Stavanger on September 22.
The joint international research symposium will bring together researchers from around Europe to discuss the state of the art in smart city research. The research symposium topics reflects the broad and interdisciplinary nature of smart city research encompassing academic disciplines spanning the humanities, social sciences, technical sciences and natural sciences. The aim of the research symposium is thus to take stock of current research frontiers and identify pathways for future research.
Registration for the symposium will open in August.
The research symposium is hosted by the University of Stavanger’s Research network for smart and sustainable cities.
The University of Stavanger has been an active partner of Nordic Edge Expo since its humble beginnings.
“We are excited to be a partner of this constantly growing event that brings people from all around the world together. Since 2019, the university’s Research network for smart sustainable cities have been the hub for smart city research and education involving researchers and students from all six faculties and the Archeological museum of Stavanger. With more than 40 researchers and 17 PhD students, the network engages in cross-disciplinary research and collaboration covering the social sciences, humanities, technical and natural sciences in close collaboration with regional, national and international partners. Our close collaboration with Nordic Edge has been central to pushing smart city research at the University of Stavanger forward.” Anders Riel Müller, project manager.
The full programme for the international research symposium and science&cocktails will be published on the Nordic Edge Expo Conference Page.
