Your role:

Repairs at Yedlik mean troubleshooting broken batteries in a well-equipped workshop. It is a true engineering task! It is never repetitive: if it is, you need to figure out how to automate or delegate. It is never frustrating: if it is, you need to find the right tool or methodology to do it better.

In this position, you will turn pieces of junk into desired objects on a daily basis. And save the environment. It is hard to overstate how satisfying this is. The only reason we let others work for us is that there are too many batteries to fix!

We can offer:

First week is unpaid training, then we will set up a salary scheme. We cannot beat market rates right in the beginning, but we are growing and both you and your compensation will grow with us.

We do a brainstorm-social-beers events at least every two weeks.

Wanted Qualifications:

This position is ideal for someone with some background in electronics and engineering, and a drive for hand-on creative lab work. If you are in electrical or mechanical or mechatronics engineering, or spent your free time rebuilding bikes, scooters, drones.. this is probably the job for you. If you spent some time working for some engineering firm that made you sit all day in front of a computer, and you hated that part… this is probably the job for you! We don’t want you to write software. Really!

We expect to train you in battery repairs and the particular tools, but you should arrive with an engineering mindset and an understanding of circuit theory. Experience is nice to have, but it is curiosity and talent that is required.

Good English is required, Norwegian or Chinese is a plus.
