Nordic Fund Day connected start-ups and investors for a day of fun and funding. Result: Three-quarters of the start-ups continued the dialogue with eligible investors.
“I’ve been to a number of these events, but this was by far the best” Anne-Lise Heggland, CEO of Podbike.
Nordic Fund Day was a pan-Nordic programme for connecting start-ups and investors hosted by Nordic Edge Innoasis, Telia, Microsoft for Start-Ups and Urbantech.
Of the 45 applicants from across the Nordics ten start-ups were selected to join the event based on criteria’s such as market opportunity, business model, TRL, team composition and sustainability impact. Following company pitches to 18 European investors – where the companies received immediate feedback on their business model, the studio-produced digital day moved on to one-to-one meetings between investors and start-ups. A highly successful format resulting in 75% of the start-ups moving forward with investors.
“All credit to initiators for hosting this event. I liked the concept with direct feedback and the possibility of meeting investors 1:1,” Heggedal.
Missed it?
Missed the event in February, do not worry. Nordic Edge Innoasis and the contributing partners are planning for a new Nordic Fund Day later in the year. Until then, take a look at this video from the day itself:
